English: Zhi Zheng the Great Chinese Bell is an ancient Chinese artifact. Forged in the 6th year of the Zhi Zheng Era of the Yuan Dynasty (CE 1346), with chalcopyrite contributed by Persian merchants and travelers to the Zi Fu Buddhist Temple of Dongguan County, GuangDong. The bell is an important piece of evidence of the Martime Silkroad that connected ancient China and Iran. Weighted about 2500 kg, it was larger than most of its kind from the same era in China. The bell is now freely displayed in Dongguan Museum.
